Was talking to this guy on Match during the last week or so, conversational stuff. I never text him through Match during the day as the WiFi at my job blocks certain websites. I texted him this evening asking of his plan for the weekend. He told me of things he had planned and I told him of mine. He asked if I wanted to meet sometime soon and I said okay but can we talk on the phone first? He asked where I live, I told him, he is quite a hike away from me. He said you are far away, good luck. Not even going to try? That's sad.

Not even going to try? That's sad. OLD & Depressing are like Peas & Carrots, those commercials you see on TV are way too full of BS on how great OLD is. Depends what you mean about "hike"? 50 miles or 500 or 1000, I did some LDR stuff, the farthest I drove to date someone (twice) was 60 miles one way, and she wasn't worth it after date #2, I never called her nor have I heard back from her. Sometimes the distance can be a deal breaker, just depends on how much of a connection you have, if there is a strong connection, distances can be a non-issue, but it won't be easy as it cost money to drive/travel, take time off of work to visit and etc. Then there is that factor, who is going to move closer to who, when and if it get's serious. I just had to deal with this on one of my LDR's I canned last week, it was mentioned a few times, I'm in no position to move now, I have too much on my plate. Match is a mixed bag, I'll message woman and they will chat a little, then they will ghost me then respond 2 days later or not at all. Keep in mind these women 'Liked me" first. Best thing to do is to move on and keep looking.
