ok so i was dating this guy for 9 months. He continually cheated on me. He would never let me get close to him no matter how hard i tried he always pushed me away. So he went on a cruise and i went to key west he did not call me for 2 weeks or have any sort of contact. when i got back he would not even return my calls.. or even e-mail. Then about 4 days later he text messaged me and asked me if i really thought that it was working out anyway. I later found out that he met some girl on the cruise and is dating her.

So his friend started persuing me and i like him as well. We have gone out a few times together and talk all the time. Do you think that its wrong for us to start a relationship together or should we just stop before my ex gets hurt

My own personal rule is to NOT date one of MY FRIENDS Ex's but..

1) This isn't YOUR friends EX

2) Your EXBF sounds like a butthead

AND number 3... it wasn't working out anyway right? Isn't that what he said? :lmao: Go for it!

if you and your ex had a good relationship with an amicable split, i would say you should not date his friend out of respect.

however, he treated you like crap and has no right to tell you what to do in regard to the happiness you deserve, but never got from him.

the issues that may arise between him and his friend will remain issues between him and his friend. in which case, your new guy may say "what do you care? you never really cared about her anyway, it's not like i took her from you" or "i don't want this to cause problems between us, so i won't date her if it bothers you." either way, it's for them to deal with.

hope it works out, and that this relationship is 1000000000000 times better than your last.

word of advice...don't let someone treat you badly, especially for a long period of time. :)

In the long-run you probably won't like his friend cause he sounds waaaaay too nice and attentive. You don't like guys like that FUNDREACOLE...
