At about 6:30a.m. EST, Tuesday, May 29, a person with the username of "confused", posted a short problem containing a link, which went to a porn site. It was indicated in the post that this link went to a site that may be helpful to others.

This site contained a dangerous virus which was immediately detected by an anti-virus program.

If you view a post with a hyperlink to any other site and you decide to click on it, you do so at your own risk.

The host and remote address of the person who posted has been noted. It is NOT that of some others who have recently also used the name "confused," which is rather popular.

thank you for the advice loveshack host :)

just a quick question....was this site to do with a part of the female anatomy??? (i don't want to name it). i noted a guy has come on here a couple of times and posted the name of a link saying it would be helpful, and i looked it up once only to find it was pornographic...not very funny.

i'm a little concerned, only because i went to the home page of that site and my computer is *very* temperemental...the virus scan doesn't always work properly.

thanks again!

Your computer should be fine. The virus occurs if you decide to navigate the site. With some 44,000 viruses out there and many more Trojan Horses (password stealing programs), it is highly recommended you get a realiable anti-virus program.

Very few posts contain links but clicking on them should be done at your own risk.

i didn't navigate thankfully....the home page was enough to put me off.

i've added a couple of links to a post below, but i know they are fine :)
