Why is she having such a serious conversation over text? Have you talked to her face-to-face about this yet?

Surely, OP, you made this plain way early on and it wasn't in a jokey/funny way? 3 months in might be a bit soon to be throwing tantrums for not getting her way on children, but if you've been vague and misleading, then while I can see a cooling of the temperature, I can't see a 3 yr old's tantrum.
