So the date went well, I think. In the end he repeated the same phrase on the date - saying I must "have many men after me"... not sure what that is about.

Well yeah, I have many first date prospects, but real relationship prospects> Not that often. It's obvious we all have many options with OLD, but I don't think that means anything. It's so hard to find someone right at the right time.

Let's see how it goes moving forward. I drank one more glass than I should have and probably also said a couple of things I should not have.

He kissed me and kept asking when we were seeing each other again. He texted me good night after the date but hasn't written me today...

Sadly that can be him cooling down. As I mentioned in my other post, men who come on strong also cool down pretty fast. Do not be tricked by how he is treating you now because that can disappear in a second.

Write him and tell him, You really don't know me and you're acting in love with somebody, so I have to assume that somebody is the ideal woman in your head, and it makes me uncomfortable. It's never a good sign.

He ended up texting me when he got off work, saying he had a really nice time and is in recovery mode - we drank a bit too much. But I do know how it goes, every date can be the last one.

I agree, that's the perfect answer when that happens again. We ended up meeting yesterday so he now knows the real me.
