You want a man that can BE THERE. If he can’t handle this, he’s not going to be the one to be there when you’re old.

Better to find out now than later.

Exactly this.

Let him take care of you emotionally while he is visiting. This time together will most likely either make your relationship or break it. Either way, it needs to happen. Be vulnerable and be yourself. And, I hope your son is okay.

Thanks, hippychick. My boy just peed yellow for the first time in three days. Makes me feel a little better.

You've been seeing this guy for a year and a half. If he can't offer some emotional support, and cuddle with you, he's a loser.

Hey grays, how did your weekend go? How is your son?

Thanks for asking, hippychick. I had a good time with my guy and he was really sweet about everything. I’m kinda happy he has a nine year old, too. He just plain got it, yk? Phew!

I’m not sure about my little guy yet. He had an ultrasound Thursday night and today doc called to say they saw nothing wrong on the u/s but she’s sending us to a nephrologist. So, I guess good news, but maybe it would’ve been better to see something fixable and know what it is. I’m scared it’ll take weeks to get into a neph and then what are the possibilities, what might they find? Ugh. I think I was doing a pretty good job not worrying/pushing it out of my head the last few days, but now I’m letting it in. He feels totally fine and hasn’t seen blood for a few days, tho.
