clynn Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Do we think that there are some men that are much more comfortable when they are making the moves? I don't really mean in the bedroom but in general....they like to be doing the calling and inviting out? ie: he is more comfortable being the pursuer than the pursued? Do you think that sometimes a man might be thrown-off or become freaked out when a woman begins to take a bit more control in the relationship? Consciously? Or subconsciously? ie: he becomes uncomfortable with her taking relationship liberties, or making assumptions, yet is okay when it is he that is setting them?

Artscrafter Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 A lot of it depends on the man. I firmly believe that the woman should have an equal part in starting whatever happens in the relationship. Of course, this hardly ever happens because society always pressures the women not to become the pursuer, but I'd love it if the woman I was dating made arrangements for doing stuff or came on to me occasionally. But keep in mind that I said "equal part." If the woman suddenly pounced on me and started ripping off my clothes when I thought we weren't past first base yet, I'd be more than a little weirded out.
Outcast Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Yep. Some definitely do. They've grown up believing the man 'should' take the lead and are uncomfortable when women do. Others are controlling and consider a woman's overtures to be an affront.
