basil67 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 If she has a boyfriend - he's a long way from home... cause she's not a local What point are you trying to make?
Author shizzle_84 Posted October 15, 2018 Author Posted October 15, 2018 What point are you trying to make? That she dialed her number into the guys phone... and she wasn't giving off a fake one.

Author shizzle_84 Posted October 15, 2018 Author Posted October 15, 2018 This is cringe worthy Creep scale off the charts This poor waitress Why do you say that?
guest569 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 So inappropriate and sleazy. You "think she must have smiled" and "she backed away almost smilingly" and "sexual tension off the charts" all from a brief interaction where she took a drinks order. It's all in your head. You have so little awareness that you don't even know if she smiled or not so you're going with yes she smiled . She ain't calling. She was being polite and probably fearful of your reaction if she said no, or at least worried you wouldn't tip if she rejected you. Why do you think you can chat up and put your hands all over someone who is just trying to do their job. By the way, before you abuse me. I am a woman and you asked for my opinion. 5

I think you have to consider that I might not be able communicate all the nuances that happened that night... do you agree? Even if I could write like Tolstoy some things could still be lost in translation. However, I believe she felt she had space to express herself. I'll give it a shot. But if she says "no" - I'm not going to force her. I was also conscious not to ask for her number - I gave her mine instead. THAT IS SIGNIFICANT. I said "You don't have to call me if you don't want to." And I also clarified in another post in the thread here... I had my hand lightly touching her back. I DIDN'T have my hand around tight on her waist. I thought you came down REAL HARD here... like, is there any room in your book for people to express their imperfections? And maybe learn from it? You're not talking to BILL COSBY here.... Oh, and another thing - this was a social setting... lots of people around. And other customers at the bar saw what went on. I can tell you this for sure... If I was out of line or as you say SLEAZY... the guy that the bartender gave her number to - would have come up and done something about it. There was 5 of them, and 2 of us. And mind you - the guy was bigger than me. Edited October 15, 2018 by shizzle_84
smackie9 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Just me but I never liked anyone hitting on me while I was working. If you want success, do it appropriately at a appropriate time and place, not staff, but others who are enjoying the evening like you are. Being forward is ok, but being aggressive is not. The only time you can get away with touching is when the alcohol is flowing and that charged vibe in the room is in full swing. For example, at a club, a total stranger came up to me smiling, friendly, so relaxed, took both my hands, with full eye contact and told me how adorable I was. It was so sweet...too bad I wasn't single. It was the fact he was genuine, kool and confident, that really got my attention....I thought he was wonderful. Even when I told him I wasn't single, he still was very nice, and parted with a compliment. He wasn't even attractive, but the way he carried himself made him attractive.

Thanks btw for your comments, because half the time it's difficult to sort through to get to the heart of it. Cheers.
