Hey all!

Basically as the title says- What's the best way to keep a man interested after sex?

When on a date with this guy I'd be chatting to for over a month. Ended up going for drinks and hooking up. (No judgement please) I'm not one for one night stands I just hadn't had sex in ages so I said **** it - yolo....

Anyways we hit it off great had a lovely evening he made me brekkie the next morning dropped me home etc.

He texted me then that night to say he was dying with a hangover still haha sorta thing. I was like blah blah me too! Did you have a good night last night and he was like yeah i did etc.

So I'm glad he texted me tbh but not sure where it goes from here. Advice?

Do I ask him if he's keen to hangout again or what's the best way to approach this?

Thanks!

More sex... Fun sex... not plain old vanilla sex...

You've had sex, so its OK to text him if he doesn't text you in a day or two. If your not sure what to say, ask him if he'd like to come over for a home cooked meal and dessert...

Men are simple... feed us and have sex with us...

You keep them interested with a combination of fun & lively conversation and fun & lively sex.

People tend to show up when they are interested and disappear when they're not. From what you are telling us this looks like a normal start of a possible relationship.

Go ahead a do all the little cute and fun things you want to do for him.

Just know that if he loses interest, no amount of feeding him and having sex with him will make him interested again.

Just enjoy the time you two have together and don't worry so much about whether or not it's going to work.

I would accept this as an axiom.

To add, make him feel special. Go out of your way for him.

Many women I’ve encountered are primarily concerned with themselves. They get firmly placed in the temporary bucket.

It's a tough one. If the sex was good, he's gonna stick around, but how long is up to how you two develop the relationship. Sometimes the chemistry just isn't there for the long haul. It's either he likes you or not. You really can't have too much control over it. You can be over the top swinging from the rafters sex, but in time that can just be just for the sex and nothing more. So it's a crap shoot.

Agreed that long term compatibility is TBD, but there are many things in a woman’s control which influence their longevity. It’s no guarantee that it will keep them, but you will push most guys away with these behaviors:

- Nagging

- Entitlement

- Comparing to ex bfs (we always us s to do X)

- Selfishness

- Not being supportive

- Complaining

- Demanding

To name a few.

Guys have their own set of poor behaviors which push women away as well.

In both cases, it’s important to understand how your behavior impacts your partner. How you act is a choice...and basically the only thing you can control.

Show up as your best self and if they don’t appreciate it, you are not meant to be together.

This is why you never have anal on the first date.. keep something back in order to spice it up on the second date

Weekends together to me is the best way to pave over sex on the first date, don't get out of bed for 2 days....

I think you shouldn't have to worry about how to keep someone interested...

Don't try too hard.

Just be yourself and see your own value.

If he loses interest, you just weren't a match.

I can only add that a man who is interested in you as a person for more than just sex will spend a lot of time talking to you about everything and not just plan your dates around the sex part. He will want to hang and talk and get to know each other in addition to doing the cursory date and then sex.

I have to agree with this.....being a good cook is an asset.

This post resonates with me. It’s how you avoid taking yourself and things too seriously.

We can try this and try that, which is great. However, you can try this, that and the third and still lose a significant other due to someone else’s sex, cooking or whatever. Same with you. You never know if someone else will take your interest from him. Things (people) happen literally like a thief in the night.. when you least expect them.

So the quoted above post is how to stay sane in the midst of what is largely unknown.

indeed, good food has kept me around much past the relationship's expiry date :)

So...you slept with a guy on the first date

Didn't give enough time for interest (real, in person interest) to develop

But you want to know how to keep him on the hook?

This is what is called an oxymoron

If you want a guy to be interested and invested in you, give him time to be before before you show the final act
