Is it a given that when you arrange a time and date to meet with someone from an online dating website then it's a date?

I mean, if both of you wrote that you're looking for a long-term relationship, why does that point need to be clarified through either words, or certain dating customs or rituals?

Question 1: Yes.

Question 2: Insecurity.

That's what I used to think when I first started OLD

Plenty of people who OLD make plans as in date, time and place an don't show up

Plenty of people who OLD lie about what they want (casual, long term) or maybe change their minds along the way

The world of OLD has made it so easy for people to deceive, mislead and stand people up because of the endless options at their fingertips

Now, not all people on OLD are like this. There are plenty of people who are genuine, and honor their word...unfortunately, we all have to meet some of the not so great types before we find the right one

Long Term Relationship is a long term goal. It is not the first 3 dates,...or as some guys think,...the 1st date. With two well balanced, intelligent, secure people who take the time to think through what they are doing, ...on average,...it takes 7-8 dates/weeks (@1 date per week) just to get to exclusivity. Reaching exclusivity it not an LTR it is just a step to getting there. It is only a Long Term Relationship when you have been together for a "long time".

OLD is not the best place to find that. OLD tends to be a cesspool of odd-balls that can't get a date any other way. Yes, there are good ones mixed in there, but the good ones are not the majority.

No idea.

But what's to clarify anyway , wouldn't it just be a given that your just gonna meet first of all, ya could hate each other 10minutes later , just sayin, possible, so who cares what it is just meet first of all.
