Nomad Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Question for other guys reading this: alot of guys SAY they're nervous when approaching & hitting on girls, myself included. But WHY, do you think, this is the case? What is the source of this nervousness? And is there a way to overcome it?
Art_Critic Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Question for other guys reading this: alot of guys SAY they're nervous when approaching & hitting on girls, myself included. But WHY, do you think, this is the case? What is the source of this nervousness? And is there a way to overcome it? The nervousness comes from not wanting to get rejected. I have found that the easiest way to feel at ease is to not think about it and just be myself.. Be the same person I am at work or around my family and friends..and don't put to much pressure on myself if it doesn't go great .. it's only a girl and there are a million of them out there If I can do that then the nervousness disappears and the conversation flows like a river
elijahBailey Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 you feel nervous cos you've, unconsciously, set for yourself a goal. If you just do it for the fun of it, there's no pressure, and you'll look more natural. Forget about even trying to hide your nervousness; women can sniff you out anytime.
Author Nomad Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 Elijah, I think you are on to something. I seem to be not as nervous & more "smooth" around girls I don't really expect will go out with me, for instance because they're already involved with somebody.
