Anyone NOT like going out with a friend b/c you feel you are accommodating them?

I kind of realized that there are just places that you should go alone without the need of a friend. Ugh. Like 2 weeks ago my friend and I went to eat out at a restaurant then go dancing. This "dancing" place was actually at the same restaurant when a dj later comes in at 11pm, now, this was at a shopping center and this restaurant was the only place that was open at the time. I asked if she wanted to go dancing at this karaoke/club at an entertainment district she mumbled some excuse like she didn't have the "right shoes" umm...okay...made no sense since she was dancing at the awful place I despise. I'll pass next time she suggests going to this club which isn't mine scene and apparently that place I wanted to go was more my scene for hipsters. Its like why am I catering to someone's needs when I can do my own thing????

Live and learn. It sounds like the both of you didn't plan this well either in advance and you don't know each other well enough to suspect or anticipate the other person's habits and flaws. That is really no one's fault but yours. So own the mistake and learn from it and move forward. If you want to go out again with friends, make sure they're on the same page as you and you know them fairly well. You may also find yourself more tolerant of people you actually know or like.
