ThatWoman Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 After reading so many posts here, I'm questioning myself. I'm a single woman. While on the job I met this guy who is just awesome...I mean yeah, he has his flaws like everyone does but he is just a great guy. I knew immediately that he was married so I just never even entertained the thought of the two of us together...we strictly worked together. We work pretty closely and have become good friends but we have never crossed any boundaries. Well, his wife moved out about a three months ago. He was served divorce papers two weeks after she left and did end up telling me a few things. He said they weren't getting along and couldn't even make the simplest of decisions together...such as where to go out to eat much less any big decisions. He said it wasn't all her fault, that he accepts part of the blame. Am I dreaming to think that if I give him time to work this through, and not become the rebound girl that we could possibly start a relationship?? We get along so well, have so many things in common....I know that there are always three sides to every story...his side, her side, and the truth...but I really do like this guy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think you already know the answer .. It's in your post but you are looking for a green light to think otherwise..
bluechocolate Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Am I dreaming to think that if I give him time to work this through, and not become the rebound girl that we could possibly start a relationship?? Why not? The important thing is, as you've mentioned, that he has the time to work things through. Beware though, that could take a lot longer than you think. He may also want to "play the field" a bit now that he's single again. So dream on, but don't let your expectations get carried away with your dreams.
