We broke up last night and he sent me this message this morning. Can you decode what this means? Is there hope or is it completely over?

“I really need some time to think things thru ...you should do the same.”

Ps he broke up mainly because he wants freedom

It doesn’t sound like you’re taking time to think things through. Do the real legwork yourself. I’m not sure if what kind of answer you’re expecting. No one knows how badly you screwed up if he wants space from you so desperately.

No hope. This morning's message was trying to soften the blow but it's one of those it's cruel to be kind things.

 

Young guys who want freedom know deep down that you are not The One for them even if they can't articulate why. He's off to find somebody he feels more compatible with long term. You need to do the same.
