I had a rough few years and what introduced me to this site, was my first real heartache. I never thought it was possible to like someone again. For a long time, I felt cold inside. I met him for lunch and we are doing lunch again next month. Yes, that's right NEXT MONTH. He also made a few comments that confused me during lunch. I offered to pay but he insisted he pay which he always does. He offered to take me for a pedicure but I didn't have time. He said I was doing an amazing job given my difficult circumstances. He also said he wanted to see me get to a better place. I am sending him over my resume and he is going to review it and help me find a better job. Does this sound like it has potential or is he just being a good friend? I like him and would like to start dating him.

It's rather confusing. The pedicure thing threw me. Does he have a foot fetish or own a nail salon? A month between lunches seems like just friends to me.

If you really like him, reach out & you initiate a dinner or drinks in between

It's because my feet are in rough shape and I work a lot. Knowing this, he wanted to pamper my feet. We are also no victoria and david beckham. Infact, many guys would say I was both annoying and ugly so you could imagine that he isn't the most attractive man but he might just be the one for me. I don't annoy him, I don't even feel annoying around him. Infact, I am a better person around him. I can be completely honest and as oppose to judging me, he supports and helps me. He is a very successful person and he comes from a wealthy family. He has the experience to help me become more successful through his advice and guidance.

I should mention that he lives out of town

Hold on ... say a bit more.

This guy sounds like a mentor than a dating possibility. Sounds like he's helping you feel confident and good about yourself. That's what mentors and friends do.

I say mentor because this seems to be about your professional life ... Now, nothing wrong with you developing a bit of a crush on him. Shows your heart is alive and that's good.

But a guy interested in dating someone doesn't say, "I'll see you in a month."

That is what a mentor-coach would say.

But I may need more details ....

I think he is just trying to be nice. Unfortunately for him, white knighting doesn't work in real life. Hence, you're posting about him.

If all of the above is true what is your problem?

Is anyone with me on how bizare the post above this is. Why do I get all the weirdos online, maybe that's a better question, the guy has one post and it just so happens to be on my post directing me to another site.

Correct!

Your issue is that the guy is doing so much for you, well you like him let me do what he can for you. No harm

You're right. There is nothing wrong with this but I think I am starting to not only over thinking, but creating stories in my head. I am just going to take this slow and see where it goes all the while continue to focus on my life as I am not in the best place personally. Thanks everyone who responded.
