hercules22 Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 so i asked her out on a date and i got the dreaded ill let you know did give specific day is saying okay i leave you to it okay? now i am going no contact now i just dont think shes even interested so wont be expecting to hear back from her
d0nnivain Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Alas, sometimes "I'll let you know" is code for I don't want to go out with you but have no idea how to be straightforward & tell you so I will take the easy way out & give you false hope. Sometimes it is legitimately a matter of scheduling. Somebody invited me to her daughter's performance tonight & I said we'll see because I didn't know my schedule / energy level for later & I need to go grocery shopping. You are best not reaching out. If you hear from her, great. If no, you at least preserved your dignity 1

In your example, if you had really wanted to go the daughters performance you would have said yes and killed your other plans. OP - move along and delete her number.
coolheadal Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Maybe Not sure Let you know Have to think about it Can't it wait until next (day or next week) All these are excuses, what they sum up as for that person is not interested in you to do whatever you want them to do. Another excuse is when they want to leave you and go hang out with their friends they usually come up with another excuse. I have to go now before 5 pm I am expected They have something exciting going on and I don't want to miss out on it 1
Miss Spider Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 “K” it’s simple, succinct, and somehow conveys both skepticism and indifference. Best response to someone’s bs. And trust me, that’s what this is. She’s not going to let you know anything. Sorry... 1
smackie9 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 The best thing you can do when you get a crappy response like that is to act nonchalant, like you don't care....like, oh well her loss. At least you had the nut sack to ask her out...that's what counts. 2
