Has anyone had it where you've met someone online (long distance) then you message back and forth, you meet, spend time together, and they message you nearly everyday, and then, it stops?

If you have please share your experience. Or if anyone has encouragement. Please no put downers.

I've had this happen a couple of times. They met someone else locally, and decided to go with that. Usually they'll say so, but if they just stop communicating, they may hope to keep you as plan B if the new person doesn't work out. Either way, it's best to just forget them and move on. And, it's almost always best to find someone local to date - long distance is very, very hard to maintain, unless there is a specific - not too distant - time you can move to be together and see how the relationship develops then.

It never happened to me because I didn't date long in the OL era. But surf around LS for a while & you will find hundreds of those stories. Sorry because I know that is a bit of a downer.

Yeah ghosting kinda sucks. I think people should at least have the courage to send a break up text (or better still in person if local).
