So my ex broke up with me a few weeks ago. I've been in No-contact since then. First she said it was a break, then she told me it was a break-up.

For some reason, before talking to me, she wants to talk to my mutual friends.

Does this mean she's still confused about us, or does she want to prepare to give me bad news?

more likely to prepare you for bad news.

doubt she would consult mutual friends after the deed has been done.
