healing light Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Yep. I was single for 14 years until recently. My half uncle asked me when I was getting married when I turned 18. Ha! I did get the whole, "You know, if you happen to be gay, we'd still accept you" speech from immediate relatives. A guy friend who was jilted I didn't date him would dismiss my comments when the topic of relationships came up, saying mine didn't count. At first he was frustrated I didn't date him, and then he implied that something must be wrong with me after some time ticked by and I still hadn't chosen to date anyone. I get the same reaction as SevenCity with alcohol. I don't drink at all, don't see the appeal, have a great time without it. People assume I must have been an alcoholic or have some tragic drunk driver story.
