newheart Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 For me, it is important that shoes are 1) clean and 2) appropriate for the venue/activity. I might have a slightly different opinion of Jordans since I have a teen who is Jordan obsessed but I think it really depends on what/where the date was. Not necessarily a dealbreaker for me, but to each his own. 1
Author hollyday Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 I am sorry for my lte reply. To answer some questions, I have no problem with ordinary sneakers and it is the particular brand. My problem is both the goofy look and the culture that goes with people who wear them. Those of you who are not american probably would not understand. When I see someone wearing Jordans, it brings back memories of people from high school that I was not very fond of. I will post a link of picture for reference. Something like this in red https://www.google.com/search?q=jordan&rlz=1C1VFKB_enUS616US616&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwirwryG4djZAhWLy1MKHX7rAZUQ_AUICygC&biw=1137&bih=591#imgrc=if48fEKe6nscZM:

Versacehottie Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 (edited) this one of a kind pair of air jordans sold for over $96,000 just a few days ago. https://www.ebay.com/itm/183102924569 Air Jordan 1 "Gold Toe" Upside-Down Swoosh | Nice Kicks Not that it's only what sum of money people would pay for something. Funny i came across this one day after you started this thread. Maybe you new guy is out shoe shopping hoping for the next date Sounds like he's just not your type of guy though. That's fair. I would hope that it's not just on a pair of shoes but other elements of the date where you got a hint that he might not have the grown up mentality you are looking for. Good luck Edited March 7, 2018 by Versacehottie
MuddyFootprints Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 My husband wore a pair of pickle-stabbin' cowboy boots on our first date. I kept looking at his feet wondering wtf is he thinking? He truly thought he was stylin'. He paid a lot of money for them there boots.
Highndry Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 I always look at the shoes as part of my assessment when I check guys out. I get it, first impressions count, but was it a casual date? That's probably why he wore them. If it's a dealbreaker, it's a dealbreaker. He loves his Jordans and it wouldn't be the last time you will see him wearing them. There are guys that have actual collections and won't wear anything else. Me I hate Jordans...too gangsta. I love Vans. I wouldn't mind a guy in a suit wearing Vans. I'm a Vans guy all day long. Had one pair of Jordans back in the day. Meh.
Zippy2000 Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Its normal you to look into this. Shoes tell you a lot about a person. For a man I like girls who wear low or high heels but it really depends. Id worry if you wore rubber boots or what we call wellington boots on a first date in summer.
