For the women :).......

Mistakes you sometimes make when attempting to communicate with men.

Assuming - - that he knows what you want or expect.

Begging for him to "give you" what you want.

Convincing - trying to make him feel the way you do.

Bullying - bullying him into your way of thinking.

You'll be beating up against a brick wall, and will not have much long-term success with men, if you keep doing this.

Expectations play a HUGE role in most relationships that die a quick death..ie: relationships that never take off because the womans expectations are unrealisticly high

'Bullying' should and can be replaced by 'sulking'..... Therefore....'sulking at him to get him into your way of thinking' :)

Communication is soooo important and necessary in a relationship. I think that it is the one single thing that will keep a couple together in the long run. When the looks go and we are sitting around staring at our wrinkles and gumming our food we still have our wit and a sparkle in the eye. A good conversation at that age will be better than sex.

LOL!!! elijahBailey...

I had doubts whether 'bullying' was the right word.

Maybe 'expert manipulation' would be more suitable.:laugh::laugh:

Good list.

What was your inspiration for this, if you don't mind me asking?

Good advice.....I've tried all these with my boyfriend and none of them work.

Oddly enough.....I've also tried effective communication and that doesn't work either......

Well it was inspired by a need to look at myself, and realize it was NOT all the ex's fault.

No male bashing is gonna make THIS chick feel any better.:), I'll take full responsiblity for my part.

Add nagging to the list. That sends me up the wall. My now-ex was constantly trying to nag me. At first I got mad, and then I just teased her about it. But it ended up being her complete lack of faith in me that did us in.

I agree with you, April.:)

Good philosophy. And the best recipe for better romance in future. :bunny:

hey, wow, it's not everyday a chick takes a look at herself and says 'yeah.... it's my fault'.

Cool.... :p

I'm not sure she was saying 'Yeah it's my fault...' as much as 'Yes, I'll accept equal responsibility...'!!!!! :lmao:

I've always tried to look back and see the part I played in the break up of a relationship and accept what I did wrong... how else do you learn and move on to a better relationship?! :)
