So I'm a 21 year old senior guy in college and the other night I went out with a bunch of my friends. One of which had a gf, who brought along a bunch of her friends. One of these friends was my friend's girlfriend's older cousin who was 26. Her and I talked a bunch throughout the night until I was about to leave she asked me to come back to her place, so I did. I should mention that I had told her earlier that I was 27, but my friend who is also 21 had already told her I was the same age as him. So everytime I said I was 27 she just laughed and called me a liar. But anyway I went back to her place and the first thing I did was admit that I was 21 and she laughed and said she knew already. I had been drinking so I couldn't really get a good read about how she felt about it. So at her place we sat down and talked while she had something to eat and then we went to bed. We watched some Netflix and literally cuddled and talked for hours, which consisted of talking about each other's lives and a ton of teasing each other so there was a lot of laughs. We didn't have sex but we hooked up briefly and she just continued to cuddled up to me and then we eventually fell asleep in each other's arm. So overall it felt very intimate. She also kept saying that she wished I was older. In the morning, we watched a standup comedian on Netflix and laughed a ton. Afterwards, I left still unsure about how she felt about me being that much younger than her. So later in the day my friend who dates this girls cousin was texting me asking about how my night was and then was asking what I thought about this girl. Eventually, I saw my friend later in the day and again he asked about how my night was and what we did and stuff. He then said that this girl liked me. And I told him that I kinda felt bad about saying I was 27. He then replied that she knew the whole time because he had told her and that she obviously didn't care since she still took me back. He then asked if I had her number and I said no so then he made me follow her on instagram right then and there. Since then nothing has happened. But now I am unsure if I should try to reach out to this girl because I did have a really nice time with her. This all happened 2 nights ago. Any thoughts?

What are you waiting for?

Pursue it if you're interested.

Send her a message on Instagram.

She did say she wished you were older though, so sounds like she is okay with the age difference for a hook up but she might not be cool with it for a relationship.

Lying about your age didn't help with the perceived maturity level discrepancy.

Props for confessing without her calling you on it.

If you get to see her again, I'd give her a sober apology.

Any thoughts?

Uh, yeah. I think you should decide if you want to see her again or not.

I really value the discussions and advice on Loveshack, but this doesn't seem like international intrigue to me, it just seems like two people met and like each other. If you think there's a problem, don't pursue her. If you're interested, pursue her.

Ok you're 21 so still pretty new to the dating world I guess?

One thing you will learn is always pursue if you like someone. Firstly because you're a man and that's what any woman will expect you to do. And secondly you will get your answer whether she's interested or not.

Don't let age discourage you. When I started dating my husband he was twenty, me turning 26. i had to be a little assertive, but it worked out ok lol

Have att'er.

Also, stop lying.

It wastes time and energy.

I'd say this depends on your intentions and appetite for risk.

If you're after someone you could settle down with, then dating a very young person (early 20s and below) is somewhat risky. The chances of them sticking around are lower than with an older person. Or to use Loveshack terminology, there is a higher risk of GIGS!

I agree that OP is asking a bit of a silly question. The answer is obvious - pursue if interested!

When I was 26, I dated a 21 year old. He wasn't half as sweet as you.

Go for it! ask her out!

5 or 6 years is nothing. Who cares. If you like her go out with her.

It's fine now. Go for it!! Just ask her already!

Not so fun when you're older! Generally speaking... I'm 32 now and would I hell ever date a woman older than me now ? plus I look a lot younger than I am..Probably act it too. Live you life :)

This.

It's only an issue if you make it an issue.
