Delia Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I was just wondering this, because I've noticed, that for me, it's always been the eyes that attracted me to a person. I'm not neccessarily attracted to conventionally good looking guys, but I know that with men, appearance seems to be more important.

But, certain "flaws" can always be mitigated by other aspects of a person. I could not date a heavy stupid ugly girl with puss oozing zits. But you add some intelligence, and lose the zits and she is in the game.

Neptune Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Appearance is important for sure. Let`s consider a girl who is not that attractive and consider the possibilities. First she could always be working on getting in shape and learning about being attractive to guys. Second, she could be working on having a great personality that overcomes physical limitations. Third, she could learn to focus on guys that are similar to herself and really work at giving them encouragement. Forth, she must work at always being at peace with who she is and know that every disadvantage has the seed of an equivalent advantage. if there are no guys in the picture that leaves more time for other things!

Delia Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Is it possible to make oneself more attractive? We are born with what we have, unless you go for cosmetic surgery, or something. It's just so annoying seeing all those makeover shows, like The Swan. It just makes it harder and harder for people like myself to see beyond the whole beauty=happiness equation.
Blackfrost Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Delia Self Confidence is a very strong and visibly sexy trait of appearance as well. I know you have to work with what god gave you (i think superficial plastic surgery is abhorrent) the key to working with what you have, is owning it.

I'm not neccessarily attracted to conventionally good looking guys, but I know that with men, appearance seems to be more important. if you mean fashion sense, not so much so long as she doesn't look stupid. i prefer smart dress over slutty anyday. besides the B&B (bum and boobs) i'm very attracted to a nice big smile, especially when its in my direction and if i cared to ask her out in the first place she probably was already my type to begin with.
