He has been very attentive since the start of the relationship but lately he has been less attentive and not doing so many nice thing for me like in the beginning, for example yesterday i went to watch him play soccer and then we went to his house, It was late like 11 pm and he told me that he could not drive me home and did not offered to called me a taxi or anything and I know that is childish to expect things like that from him but I still feel resentful, is that too bad?

It won't always rainbows and unicorns like in the beginning. Sooner or later people become comfortable and stop trying their best. It's normal.

Perhaps your boyfriend was tired after the soccer game. Don't make it all about yourself. You have hands and a phone to call yourself a taxi, use them.

It's the type of things that will happen as you get more familiar with each other. You can now call your own taxi, it's not a big deal. Now you said he doesn't do as many nice things, what are the other examples?

When did you start seeing him?

I don't really know how to answer this without more detail. Maybe he just wanted you to stay and cuddle.

I don't expect my boyfriend to drive me home. I can drive myself. Or call a taxi myself. I mean it's nice if he does drive you, but I can understand it can get annoying to be someone's personal chauffeur.

Did you discuss the logistics of getting home from his place before you went there?

Also, I agree with the others: I'm sure you're capable of calling your own taxi.

Why can't you call your own taxi?

The hearts & flowers stuff fades. If had a played a match & it was late, it's unreasonable to expect him to drive you.

Now that you know this may be an issue going forward, drive yourself to his matches so you can get home easily later.

I think it all deends on how he phrased it. If he let you know that while he ordinarily would drive you (which from your post, I assume, is what’s been happening), but he is very tired and sorry he can’t, then that is definitely ok. I also agree that calling your own taxi is no big deal. Since you are coming here to post, perhaps the message was communicated differently?

A mature woman would have said "Oh ok I'll call a cab......you own me dinner ;)"

Anyways I believe it's his passive way of suggesting you get a car because he's tired of driving you around all the time.

since you haven't returned...:

He would certainly be someone I'd tell you to stop bothering with.

A guy who doesn't give a rip about you getting home safely is a guy you need to steer clear of.
