lmw123 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 If a guy says go away or leave me alone does he basically need space?
Imajerk17 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Is this even a serious question? It doesn't mean he "wants space", it instead means literally what he said--go away, leave him alone, he flat-out just doesn't like you. 1
carhill Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 OP, that's a good question to ask him at the time. No one here can read his mind. I remember back when I was caregiving one particularly thick skinned family member kept injecting herself into the process and on one particularly bad day she caught me at the wrong time, ignored the warning from my wife at the time and I basically told her to kill herself and make the world a better place. She was permanently erased from existence as far as I was concerned and I never had any contact with her or her family ever again. Dead. That's one perspective. Needing 'space' could very well be another
Lorenza Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 It's like you're asking if "give me some space" means that the guy needs space... "Go away" is quite self-explanatory and yes, it means that it's probably best to step back a bit and it will get worse if you won't heed it
SpinScratch Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 But what does "I dont want to be with you anymore" mean?
Miss Spider Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Is this a strange man on the street that you just said hi to? Then it probably means he doesn't want to be bothered by you. Is this a male coworker who you are trying to befriend? Then it probably means he doesn't like you or want to be your friend. Is this a male friend you whose shoulder you are currently poking and snickering to? He probably just wants you to stop being annoying Is this a boyfriend that you just had a fight with and said mean words to? Might mean he's hurt and needs space. etc. etc.

Frostedflake Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 It’s a guy I’m talking to who got mad bc I didn’t want to have sex with. Guess he was hurt and felt rejected. It means he's a piece of crap and you should leave him alone for your own sake more than his. You don't owe anyone sex. 1
TheFinalWord Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 If a guy says go away or leave me alone does he basically need space? I'm sorry to inform you, but this is bad news from a dating perspective. It means he has no interest in you, romantically. You should respect his wishes.

He was probably trying to guilt trip you into having sex with him. Stick to your guns, guys like this are horrible people and you need to give them a very wide berth.
