You know that deep down thats not true. What is the possibility that would could ever be involved or in love with a homeless guy asking for quarters at the major intersection of the city you live in?

I don't care about my partner's job, per se, but I care if he is intellectually curious and compatible and, often, that will drive job choice.

Heh, that reminds me of a great janitor story.

BART janitor makes 276K

IIRC, he was also caught sleeping in a closet on the job and had numerous rental properties he owned and managed.

Exactly the kind of janitor this thread would praise ;)

Deep down it is true.....I went out with a homeless guy the reason why we broke up....he admitted like most guys feel comfortable doing with me for some reason (all their secrets come out) he was also sexually attracted to transsexuals...i could not be happy with knowing that fact.....or make him happy...yep it turned me off......had nothing to do with his income status i split with him........deb

I thought teachers were paid with peanuts?

In my country a machinist, a welder, a plumber is paid twice what a teacher earns.

Is it really the money that bothers you or the level of education?

Instead of worrying about your girlfriend I think you should worry about yourself. You sound young and you should start thinking if this job can carry you through life. It's a satisfying job now but will that paycheck allow you to buy a house? feed children? put money aside for retirement? allow you to real vacations once a year? if no, than I'd suggest you make an executive decision about YOUR life by getting in college or getting in a trade school and get yourself skills that will allow you to earn a good life.

From my experience, if the woman in your life is obsessed with keeping up with the Joneses, the relationship is doomed. And after the age of 25, most urban/suburban women are like that.
