ww Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 SHORT form previous post: He sends out of the blue an SMS asking : have u got an sms by mistake and it wasn`t meant for u? We have a little conversation in line : no i did not good night. He excuses himself for disturbing and wishes me good night. This after a period of NC ( mostly from his part ) leaves me with all sorts of questions. So today after a day of total confuson I decided to call him and confront him directly .( not even sure what I was going to say him ) He does not respond but turns cell off. ( not busy line but totally off ) Ok people. I got my answer. Which is more than ok. Bc now I am totally relaxed and not confused. But it leaves me with this question: WHO TURNS CELL. OFF? A 39 year old man ore 14 year old kid?
nyr_fan Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 My wife turns her cell off all the time. In my case it means she's with OM and she thinks she is fooling me. It's a joke. But it leaves me with this question: WHO TURNS CELL. OFF? A 39 year old man ore 14 year old kid? If this guy is turning off his cell phone, he dosen't want to be bothered. He's sticking it right in your face. IMO, I wouldn't give him the time of day, you are worth more than that. Good luck, my friend.

whichwayisup Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 I am having trouble understanding why this has become such a big issue for you. It doesn't matter now as you're with someone else, it's over between you and him - So why call him? People do turn their cell phones off. My husband rarely has his on when we're at home. Who knows why he doesn't have it on...Maybe he lost it, maybe the battery is recharging, maybe it's the weekend and he doesn't want to talk to anybody... I'm not making light of your situation but it seems this has struck a cord in you. You calling him now is just going to open up a can of worms...Are you ready for that? Is it fair to the man you're with now?
whichwayisup Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Didn't mean to piss you off...Was just wondering why this is such an issue now for you, that's all.
Author ww Posted August 20, 2005 Author Posted August 20, 2005 YOU DID NOT. IT IS JUST: U R RIGHT. THAT IS NOT AN ISSUE ANYMORE. SO WE CAN CONSIDER IT CLOSED. OKAY?

You claim in "Part I" (LOL) that you're happily married to a great husband - so why on earth are you even expending 3 seconds of energy to fuss over any of this? Isn't that quite disrespectful to your husband? Why would you get so bent out of shape because he allegedly turned off his cell phone? What concern of yours is this? People turn off their cell phones all the time - that surely doesn't make then childish - what business do you, a married woman, have phoning this guy anyway? How would you feel if your husband had had an affair and was calling up his ex lover? Is there going to be a Part III? Lemme know, so I can get the popcorn ready.
