Cobra_X Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Set up a date. On the date a few things happened: - She complained that we had to walk 4 blocks to the restaurant from where I was able to find parking - She was talking about numerous guy friends, drama with her own mother, drama in one of her friend's relationships, her past relationships, her past dates - How beautiful one guy that she met previously was (I was thinking wtf) - She complained about the food - She told me that she was "high maintenance" and a "Queen" I thought she was joking until I realized she wasn't My thinking is that she doesn't value you much at this point. Sleep with her a couple times and see if things turn around. Once she gets emotionally engaged much of this behavior may go away. Sometimes this kind of stuff can just be an emotional shield to keep guys out. I saw that "looking for my queen/king" stuff on dating sites sometimes. What's with that? Way too monarchical for my taste But... "It's good to be the King" 1
Author Mumra Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 It happens. At least you know now to stay away from her. She’s probably clueless how much of a turn off she is. Definitely.
Author Mumra Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Oh, deary! That sounds like a lady I recently had a date with. No sense in trying to get another date with someone like that. Ugh. Agreed. How did you handle your situation?
Author Mumra Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 That was the time to bail. Another opportunity to bail missed. Sucker for punishment Now this is where I have complete sympathy for her, you try walking 4 blocks in the huge heels no doubt she was wearing. Of course she may have been wearing trainers/sensible shoes and it was just something else she found to moan about, but take heed. Women do not want to walk 4 blocks to a restaurant in all their finery, find a restaurant with parking or take a taxi right to the door. Sucker for punishment?
CautiouslyOptimistic Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Yeah, that is a horrible first day! My worst first day was kinda the opposite. A super, super hyper little man who was literally bouncing up and down in his seat at the restaurant. I was hoping a drink would calm him down, but he ordered iced tea!!! lol He also lied about his height which is a huge no-no. 1

Like you're not going to notice! 1

Kamille Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Since this is turning into a worst date thread. Here is the Tale of Taco Tom. Met up at pub with a guy I met on OLD. (Strike one: He shows up late because he, he says, he had to stop at the liquor store to pick up beer "for later". I'm thinking either he's presumptuous (assuming we'll go somewhere private) or someone who really fears being without beer.) We sit down. It's around dinner time so I ask him if he wants to share appetizers. He says no, he's not hungry. I'm hungry so I order myself tacos. The waiter shows up, puts the tacos in the middle of the table and gives us both a set of plates, clearly assuming we're sharing. Dude says he's hungry after all and would like a taco. I offer him one. He gulfs it down while I eat one. There's one taco left on the plate. At this point, I offer we split it. He accepts my offer and promptly cuts the last taco in two. Waiter asks how we want to split the bill. He says: "I'll pay for my beer. You ordered the tacos". So I paid for the tacos. The best part? He thought the date had gone wonderfully well and wanted to see me again. I told him on the date that I wasn't interested and he started arguing with me. He would check up on me every once in awhile after that, to see if I would give him another chance. Haha, what kind of silly man would lie about his height? Like you're not going to notice! It is surprising how many guys erroneously think we won't notice. Or maybe they think that once we're on the date, we'll find them so charming that we'll ignore the fact they lied about their height. And the worst part? I know some women discriminate on height, but I don't. 1
