Why is he acting like this?

Seems like I am full of problems...

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over a year. Everything has been relatively good. We had a huge argument a few months ago. He kissed another girl and we broke up. About a week later he called me wanting to get back together. I love him so I decided to give him a chance. I told him if he did anything like this again, that I wouldn't just stand by. I have been cheated on in the past and I am not about to watch that happen again (granted I didn't care for my ex as I do for my current boyfriend).

So it got better after that, he always wanted to see me, was always touching me, and just seemed like he really wanted to be there with me. So last night came as a surprise. He wanted to go see a movie with his friend, so I called up my friend Megan. Megan and I went out to dinner and met up with a co-worker (male) and his friend (also male). Apparently, this is bad?

My boyfriend and his friend left the house too late and missed their movie so they went to dinner instead. My boyfriend called me because I was suppose to pick him up and bring him home. He asked who he heard in the background and I told him it was Meg, D, and his friend Matt.

When I picked up my boyfriend, he seemed very angry. It didn't help that he had been drinking. He acted like I did something wrong. He got in my face about how I make it seem like he can't go out with girls but I can go out with guys and that I am such a hypocrite. The only time I said that I didn't like it when he went out with girls, was when he went out with them to get drunk, because of the time he kissed that girl. I never said don't go out and drink, it was more of a don't get drunk when you are alone with a girl who only wants to get in your pants, especially when you have a girlfriend to go home to. He was treating me like a complete hypocrite and I didn't even do anything wrong!

Then when I get us home I asked him to talk to me. He seemed to have gotten out the most of what was wrong. We talked for a little while. He told me that he hated how I treat him because he isn't use to it. He said that I am so good to him and treat him so well and he resents it, just because no one has ever treated him like this before. He said he is going to have to accept it. Yeah, sweet huh? Then he goes on to tell me that he thinks I am his other half.

He was a lot better this morning. I was getting ready to go to work and he laid his head in my lap as I ate breakfast and kept kissing me.

I know he didn't forget the things he had said to me and how terrible it made me feel, so I assumed he was over it. When I mentioned it this morning he replied, "Yeah well I was half drunk..." Oh. Yes. That explains it.

I love him, but this flip-floppy behavior is driving me crazy - and it isn't even like it happens often. Is there something behind it? Is there something I should be looking for?

Sounds like you guys did the right thing by talking about it..

You might want to make sure that if you approach him about an issue that you are both sober.. So many things get all messed up if one or both parties have been drinking..

I personally have run into that with a past girlfriend that would get mean after about 4 glasses of wine.. So like the idiot I am I brought up issues while she had been drinking and things just got messed up.. and then we broke up that same day..
