I had to get my driver's license re-newed yesterday.

I mentioned I had Lasik, they did an eye exam...my vision is PERFECT!

This is the first time I didn't require the 'needs corrective lenses' restriction. :)

Great feeling isn't it April. I haven't had to get glasses yet but when the time comes I will probably procrastinate as long as possible because I don't want to be a slave to glasses.

How was your experience with the Lasik surgery? Any pain? Discomfort?

Do you think you look better without glasses or were you just tired of not being able to see the alarm clock in the morning?

Anyway, congrats on the new you. :)

Thanks JayHawks....

There was no discomfort after the vision correction surgery.

But I was so nervous pre-op, that they gave me valium :D:D:D

My contact lenses were really irritating my eyes. So I've actually saved money too - not having to replace them once a year, and always having to purchase lens solutions.

Yeah, it's cool waking up in the morning and being able to see.

Oh, and woudn't it be a blast if we were able to utilize our webcams

And you are relying on the clerk at the DMV to determine your vision! LOL

I had lasik done 4 yrs ago and it was the best experience. Albeit a bit expensive but very much worth it. No pain, a bit of a hassle for aftercare--goggles and all, but that night I was able to watch a somewhat clear television and the following morning I was like a freaking eagle eye.

I was on a cruise a week afterwards and had no problems swimming, diving, or snorkeling.

Go for it I highly recommend it.

Errrr...uhmm...on second thought - I'll pass. :p

They have webcams hooked up all over my city. You can view the traffic flow at heavy intersections...you can view the cruise ships entering the harbor, and other stuff. Someone once gave me all the URLs.

But my favorite is : the underwater cam at the aquarium. I sometimes just sit in front of my computer watching the Beluga whales swimming around. It's soothing.

I want my eyes fixed so bad. Contacts bother me after a few hours of wear and I can' t wear them to work anymore (computer).

I have to get PRK Wavefront which is close to $2000/Cdn per eye. I can't afford that as I have alot of other priorities. Heck I need new glasses and a new supply of contacts and I don't even have the money for that.
