What do you say or do when you find someone cute and want to get their attention?

Been awhile but I had a fascinating dance with an ex-TWA FA while we flew west in F awhile back and hardly noticed the trip.

 

Short list:

1. Not chatty like per usual with female friends, rather more engaging and simple ala the Duke. Engaging but not yammering.

2. Eye contact

3. Lean in a bit when noting continuing banter and eye contact

4. Listening and pick up on little things for impromptu humor. If she laughs and I laugh that's usually a good sign.

5. Open body language

6. Hard to describe in words but I tend to focus my energy on them. The rest of the world kinda melts away.

 

In the example I gleaned from, nothing came from it as I'm not a casual sex guy but she was apparently single, pushing 70 and whoa, hubba hubba. No doubt she'd been in the mile high club many times in her younger years. Anyway, that's flirting for me.

I don't, I'm hopeless at it. In fact, the more attractive I find him, the more difficult I find it to even talk to him let alone smile or show I am interested. I am getting a bit better at smiling, but I tend to assume guys are not interested if I am interested in them and back off and talk to others. I know, it doesn't help in the slightest!

Eye contact, very friendly body language, lots of smiling laughing, I'll touch shoulder, legs, small of his back.

 

Direct attention (focus), leading questions, basically giving him all of my attention.

 

Mostly I say it with my eyes and a devilish smirk.

Confident and playful banter. Unspoken sexual tension. It’s possible to create and build that without talking about sex. Eye contact, voice, appropriate touch, and so forth. Then, escalate when appropriate.

I call them by their full first name and say it slowly. No nicknames, no last names.

 

I gently tease. Lend a coy smile and walk away.

 

If the flies surround them I'll stay a ways back and smile. If they leave the flies and come over I know I've won.

If I see a woman that is attractive, just make eye contact, give a slight smile and say hi. You can tell a lot by how they respond back if there is any interest in their side of even wanting to talk to you. As far as what to say after? Really depends on the location and situation.

asking about them but i do this normally with everyone...im more likely to ask about them by proxy ill ask others because i want to know fi they are ok and happy and i might die if i dont find out....:0)...so proxy flirting...lol...

 

ill want to touch them.....im actually a bit shy in the fact i dont want to make them uncomfortable so ill make touching inconspicuous...ill kick their shoe....compliment them...and if i really care ill stick my hand out.....and if they grab it back it just about makes me day....:))....a fleeting warm touch fingertips to finger tips..i hold onto thoughts and gestures like that......yep im a romantic at heart..its the poet in me....

 

people when they know my history think that i would be really forward..i have had my fair share of lovers......i am not forward in flirting...never have been...i am however honest.....and am more likely to tell a guy outright ...i like you...because i know my flirting sucks ..deb

If we've just met, laugh hysterically at their jokes and touch them a lot. Gaze at them and agree with everything they say. Be playful. Ramble on and on about stupid unimportant stuff if I pick up that he doesn't know how to talk and thinks that women should do all the talking.

 

If I do this for a while and he doesn't ask me out, then I consider him not interested and I stop all that and move on.

Surprisingly, for some people it is. It's like they revert to actions from childhood when in sexual/mating/flirting mode and socking or kicking a guy was definitely stuff I got from girls when young. Typical kid stuff, normal, but out of place for an adult stranger IMO.

 

Of course, she could have just been annoyed by your presence ;)

no, she was quite friendly actually. She was probably in her mid-thirties which would be 16 or 17 years too young for me. But I was attracted to her.

I lower and soften my voice in a playful way, when I flirt with a girl. I think of romantic things in my had, but talk playful when I verbalize them.
