OverProtective Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I'm only 24 but i've dated many girls and let me tell you, i've had a ball getting to know the opposite sex. I find that 99% of my girlfriends were needy, I would say 30 out of the 32 girls i've dated since i was 18-24 have been Needy. So i have a buddy who is a needy guy)low self confidence) and his girlfriend just dumped him after 2 years of dating because of this. Now what i'm asking is there a limit to needyness? or is it simply a Girl thing and when a guy does it it's simply overbearing! or are alot of girls hypocrites?

Being needy in my opinion isn't just a woman thing...however I know many women that are. But with this there are many different levels of needyness...if a girl just wants someone to confide in and is needy emotionally well then it would take a guy that truly loves her to be able to sit and listen and help her..if a woman needed someone to take care of her financially and she couldn't support herself well there is another level of needyness that takes another type of guy. But some women are confident, self sufficient and emotionally stable.. I think all in all your question is kind of a blanket one that is tough to answer because everyone is different and you really can't say that all women are like this.
