JanoyCresva Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) Alright I am 18 years old and I have never had a girlfriend, there are a number of reasons for this I think. I just suck at talking about normal things I can talk about abstract ideas, obscure films, drugs, bodybuilding, videos games, music for hours but it seems like my conversations with girls are always just choppy and kinda awkward. Thus I have never had a girlfriend, I think now is the time. I live with my parents and I am currently going to community college near my house. I have class three days a week the rest of the time I literally sit at home on the computer or go work out. I am alright looking kinda short but I am jacked, I feel like I have a lot of potential. How do you meet girls? Like you see a girl in class or whatever and then what do you do? Edited October 22, 2017 by JanoyCresva

When you all go to the club together or at a house party and people who you've never met have been invited. You didn't mention friends in your post - do you have friends to hang out with? Is it a mixed gender group? Then learn a bit about making small talk. Small talk is the key to the door of bigger conversations. I saw a book called "The Art of Small Talk". I haven't read it, but if you're struggling it could be worth looking at. In the meantime, I have a bit of homework to challenge your perceived notions on what you can talk about. You don't need to be an expert - all you need is to have a couple of thoughts, questions or to be able to BS on the topic a bit. So, the challenge is to come up with a topic for every letter from A to Z on which you can make a conversation about. I'll start so that you can see what I mean. (This is completely off the top of my head - no forethought whatsoever). A. Animals. (you could go from pets to welfare on this topic!) B. Beach (I love bodysurfing. And the sound of the ocean) C. Chickens (yes, I know. Lame. But I'm buying some shortly) D. Driving (Cars? Getting driver's license? Scenic trips? E. Equality (marriage equality is a topic where I am) F. Friends (how do you know the host?) See where I'm going? I bet you can talk about far more than you believe.

I have a few buddies in town but I don't see them much, I am really good in a party setting only problem is I pretty much never go to parties. I think part of the issue is that I never do anything so I never have a chance to meet anybody. Thanks for the idea I'm actually going to try that 1
