Hi guys,

I’m new to online dating and I’m kinda in a limbo not knowing how do I approached this scenario.. So I made a coffee date for today at 11:30 yesterday morning. We agreed on location and time yesterday. This morning I woke up and text him at 8am to see if there’s any changes to the agreement and if it’s still on- no answered. It’s an hour away now and I just text again 10 mins ago and still no answer. Should I interpret that as a no show and not go? It’s a good 25 mins drive .. I hate to show up and he pull a no show. Should I call him?

Call him and see what happens. I wouldn't waste my time on someone that flakes like that. It's common courtesy to follow up with a text or call before meeting.

Call him.

If he won't bother to confirm then that's his issue. It also shows low interest.

Yes interpret it as a no show and bl*ck him. Very inconsiderate

I'm glad you didn't make the drive for nothing, and also had the courtesy to officially call it off since not hearing from him. It may have fallen on deaf ears, but you are definitely more considerate.

The only other advice I could offer in a situation like this, if you're not sure and think you might take want to take a chance, if it's feasible, plan to get some errands done, particularly if you have some things you can only take care of in that area (or somewhere along the way), and hey, kill two birds with one stone instead of having to go out there again at another time. If he turns out to be a flake, it's not a total loss. :)

Good that you wanted to confirm, guess you already had a gut feeling about this guy. You just saved yourself from being stood up.

I bet he would've replied right away if you texted him to cancel or reschedule the date... I just read that you left him a voicemail, so he'll probably eventually give you some lame excuse. Forget about him.

I always try to confirm a date, and if I don't get a reply, I just text them something came up. Funny how they usually then start responding again...

In my experience, when a date is confirmed/made the day before, it is not necessary to confirm, unless there was some uncertainty. However, it seems your intuition was sparking and you did the right thing.

It just seems a bit overkill to confirm after the plan was made within the last 24 hours.
