Is it ok to hook up with a younger (but legal) girl??

I know an 18 year old girl who is very beautiful, we talk here and there but we've never really delved into sexual topics before...I really have no idea if she'd consider having sex or not. Some people say it's biology to be attracted to younger women but other people say it's not natural or something, idk. I guess I'm a little nervous if it would completely ruin our image to those around us.

How old are you?

If she is 18 and you are 25, that isn't a huge deal, IMO. My parents are 9 years apart, and she was 19 when they married.

Your age is fine as long as you don't mislead her. She is younger therefore less experienced. You interpret her attention as she wants a hook-up but young girls usually want a romance not just sex. Make sure everything is clear between you 2.

Listen.. its always ok for two consenting ADULTS to have sex.

Doesn't matter if she is 18 and you're 90. If you're both adults its perfectly fine and everyone else needs to mind their own business.

It depends on what you're looking for. I honestly wouldn't expect a lasting relationship to come of it (though it's possible) but if you're both just down for some fun while it lasts, why not?

When I was 26 I got do know a woman who had just turned 20. We had a lot of fun for about a year, but we started to grow in different directions and that was that. But it sure was fun while it lasted. :)

It's OK but not ideal long term If you are in the US you won't be able to even take her to a bar until you are 29. At that point as you approach 30 would you really want to be with somebody who is "going nuts" because she just became old enough to find out what the bar scene is all about. It also depends on what she's doing with her life. If she is currently a senior in HS, it looks pretty bad.

Slow down. OP is just talking about having sex. No one said this will be his life partner lol.

My best friend is 29 and currently dating an 18 year old. Why I do have to admit I find it odd (I don't see them ending up together in the long run), if you are not looking for something super meaningful and long-lasting, go for it.

Understood. I was just pointing out the disparity in stark terms.

For right now I said it would be OK but cautioned that it would not be OK if at 18 the girl in question is still in high school. That's just too much of a life gap.

It's not wrong or illegal as long as you both consent. However keep in mind there is a huge difference in maturity at age 18 and age 25. You may want casual sex and she may be looking for something more serious. Yeah that is a generalization, but something to keep in mind. Tread cautiously and make sure you're on the same page. I remember how I was at 18..

Exactly. ^^^^^

Though if you were 90 you might not survive it :lmao:

You're too old for her if you go by the age rule. Half your age plus seven would be 12 and a half plus seven would mean anyone 19 and a half is the cut off.

She's too young for you.

Maybe in a couple years though.
