just a question...

I am a communicator...and my husband is very avoidant...likes to keep himself busy - happy go lucky - doesn't want to hash things out and move on, he'd rather move on like everything is fine and then like a woodpecker, just kind of randomly throw out little jabby comments here and there about whatever bothered him that he never addressed or moved on from.

Let's say there were two avoidant people in the same relationship...would that be a good thing? Would that work long term? Anyone experienced this?

My wife and I pretty much both avoidant in nature - not really a good thing. I think it's mainly due to respective insecurities - hers are weight related, mine are "nice guy" related. Ultimately, we have very few lows but just as few highs in our relationship. Does it work in the long term? We've made it over 20 years to this point.
