At what point in time in your relationship(s) (not casual dating) did you hit the make or break point? How did you know you were there? How did you decide?

I was pretty patient & a little stupid. I hung in there for 10 years. In the beginning I wasn't interested in marriage but once I became interested I had a lot invested so it wasn't easy to let go

Hung in for 6.5 years and it was not a good decision. Should have left and realize that now.

All things in life must pass the cost/benefit analysis.

Usually these events has an external trigger or something substantial changed, like a job offer in another city or a sudden urge to have kids, which caused a reevaluation of the relationship. It was not necessarily tied to the duration of the relationship.
