I asked a friend to find out if a certain someone was interested in me and his response was really weird..he was like I want to know if she was behind it..and he was really hesitant about the whole thing..I steered clear of him for a couple of weeks b/c I thought he wasn't interested and than we were in a group and 2 of my friends started arguing about something and he was trying to resolve their issue and all of a sudden he turns to me and looks at me and says to them "Why can't you be like Naomi, nice and sweet and sitting quietly?" I was so taken aback and his tone was so gentle and sweet. Well, is he interested or not..whats up here?

In my eyes it is "AS CLEAR AS DAY" that YES he digs you, good luck.

Hmmm, I wonder why he was so hesitant when your friend questioned him. Maybe he didn't want to say the wrong thing and come off like he was too interested in you or maybe he wasn't really interested in you and didn't want to say the wrong thing to your friend.

By the way, in the future maybe you shouldn't ask your friends to "feel out" the guy you're interested in (the friend might have had a different vibe of how he was acting; maybe the guy really wasn't hesitant, but just a little shy).

I think it was nice that he gave you a compliment, but how old is he? The way he was speaking to you, it seemed as though he was more like a teacher/father than a guy that was interested. "Nice and sitting quietly" isn't exactly screaming "I want you!"

Any updates?

Doesn't sound like he's interested. You're flattered he noticed you. But he was just being nice. Sorry.
