I'll keep it short. I met a girl at a Meetup and had a good convo. I got her number and exchanged few texts but convo ended. Since I just met her would it be too upfront to call asking for a date? I'm wondering if younger girls in early 20s find that weird vs texting?

One 23 year old who I phoned for a date thought there was some sort of emergency, that I was in trouble and needed assistance. I spent the first minute or so of the call telling her that I was alright :D

 

Never done that since.
