It's been 2.5 weeks since our last contact. My story was posted earlier here (The dull ache of rejection). Essentially, she dumped me after 2.5 lovely years.

 

I've gone NC for about 2.5 weeks, but tonight I almost cracked. How do you keep the discipline?

Do something else when you think of her. Go for a walk, fold some laundry, put your thoughts on paper (but never send them), volunteer somewhere, exercise. There are a whole host of things you can do keep No Contact and better yourself. I know it sucks, but just about anything is better than contacting someone who broke up with you. If someone decides to leave you/wants you out of their life, you have to give them the gift of missing you.

Imagine the worst response she could give you (which for some is also getting no response.) That is what will happen if you break NC. Stick to your guns and do not contact.

Go for a jog or run distract your thoughts
