I jokingly said that to him when he said it and he gave me the names of 2 references

I'll give you a small bit of advice that would go miles more than anything he could say...

 

When he greets your dad, tell him to look him in the face,. warm smile, and give a proper, FIRM handshake...like a man...

 

There is nothing more unappealing for a guy to give the "dead fish" girly hand, and look to the floor...Your dad will likely lose respect for him right on the spot..

Well last night went really well. He came round, and they grilled him like I knew they would but he took it like the good guy he is. They really do like him.

 

I feel so happy that it went well.

So my parents have asked when he is going to propose because they really do like him.

 

Theyve never said this before.
