There never is a reason to get married until you become pregnant; and he may not see that as a need to get married anyway. IMHO

If you're young and have been dating since, say, your Freshman year in High school - it would make perfect sense to wait until you're through with college or whatever plans you have. If you're in your mid-late 30's or 40's, I'd have to wonder if he's just stalling because it's not what he wants.
