Roses777 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 We sat down and had some bubble tea. I should have sat across from her as she suggested but I errornously sat beside her! Anyways, she said she had a good date and I ended it early because she had to bus home 90 minutes from downtown. I said I had a good time and so did she. She was worried about whether I had gotten my bus and I said I hadn't. Then, on my way home, I texted her suggesting a second date for pool, etc. She read the message, no reply whatsoever. Then she matched with me online 2 days later, so I joked about being glad that she wanted to meet me. She thought that was funny. Since then, she still hasn't said anything about a second date and I guess my mentioning that Wednesday would be good was read but not acknowledged. I may have been too interested at that point. 95% of the time, I have had to initiate the conversations or more. I am quite a lot older than her at 34, she is 22. Did I do a faux-pas that I am not aware of that made her lose interest?
Gaeta Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 You did nothing wrong. She is young and dating around. She was curious about you enough to meet with you but not enough to pursue. It happens a lot when doing online dating. Forget about her and move to next. By the way I love sitting side by side at a table when we're out.
Ami1uwant Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 You did nothing wrong---she is just too young for you.
mortensorchid Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 THink there is too much difference between your ages. She's just getting out into the adult world and you've been well within for a while. I think you both want different things in life at this point, including in the dating world.
