So I have been dating again. multiple dates, intimacy , multiple women.so conversation about what we are looking for are beginning to happen.

I have been hearing the same thing. These women want a Companion relationship.

I'm 45 and male. To me, what I am hearing is they want a guy to date on the regular, be intimate with, but don't want the burden of a traditional relationship. those are my words, not theirs.

So in essence, a companion relationship sounds like a FWB situation or I want to see you when I want to see you. I really have not heard this before so I not sure.

I'm a really interested in the opinion of loveshack, on a companion relationship. What does it mean to you? I'm dating women 45-50

I'm not sure either. Have they outright told you that they don't want a relationship?

I honestly wouldn't give two craps what they want, mate.

"Companion relationship?" Never heard of it. Not in Bastille's vocab - nor shall it be.

Reframe the sillyness in whatever you want.

At 50 years old, not that I'm anywhere near there, I imagine that you just don't care anymore. Most of the grief I get from women is about settling down and having kids.

So, you are now in a never ending stream of spinning plates, I suppose.

God, I just had a realization of what could be. Interesting.

I suppose that if you never did it before, enjoy going on a tear up.

LOL!!

I told the 50 year old that I though it meant FWB. No exclusivity. We see other people. She totally disagreed.

NOW, in true mars venus fashion, she proceeded to give me the definition of a relationship. When I reviewed what she just said, she started with the not exactly, blah blah, my head exploded and just moved on.

being a companion to me is defining a life partner......i think its where you are in that comfortable space with a person you love who you see as the other half of you....your companion..in life and love.....love is life anyway....they are companions.love is life life is love...god made it that way they should be together.........

and that is how it should be with people...does that include hot love making?...i want to believe so...but not lovemaking as a benefit....but as a natural progression of loving your companion......of sharing a life that includes all aspects of love..physical intellectual spiritual and emotive love...as a poet...this makes the most sense to me.....makes companion....a beautiful and graceful word...therefore in all logicity(my own word) a companion relationship would be...beautiful.......deb
