turnerik Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I usually fall for women way too fast and hard. I have always done it without noticing it. This time I'm conscious of the fact that I've falling for her so I know to watch out for being clingy or coming on too strong. We've gone on two dates. The first date was only supposed to be super short but we just couldn't stop talking to each other. A week later she came to my place to hang out. We had sex a few times that night, but also shared very intimate details of each other's lives and I held her all night. We live two hours apart so it helps that I can't actually go to see her everyday. I don't want to act like I'm falling head over heels for her this early but it's tough. I have to force myself to not text her instantly after every one of her messages. I've been single for four years and I've been extremely happy on my own, but there's something about this girl that makes me want to fight my own instincts. I'm glad I can recognize my coming on too strong but I need help with it!
basil67 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 When I was meeting new people, I had a tendency to do this too. The approach I adopted was to enjoy those heady feelings, but to remind myself that I barely know them yet and that I was in the midst of a crush. In short, I hoped for the best but mentally prepared for the worst. 1
No_Go Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Million dollar question. Ill be glad to hear insights... because if not, I feel like my health will suffer . I am communicating from about a week with a guy and ... he has such a warm, insightful, thoughtful style that I can't get my mind away. And on top of it - A LOT of physical pains haha, I lost appetite, my pulse is high, I feel lightheaded. Nothing helps. I literally need to bite my arm not to write him all the time. Only advice that I can give - let her lead the conversation. That way you'd avoid looking like an eager beaver if you're really coming too strong. The more 'stable' partner in the new dating couple should be the one leading to avoid explosions from too much chemistry.
