FightingTheFeelings Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I'm in love w/ my ex-boyfriend's best friend!!!!! ok, so love is a strong word...more like infatuated??? i don't know. here's the story: my ex and i broke up more than a year ago, and we're all still friends. but i've been spending a lot of time with his best friend lately. another thing, my ex still tells me he loves me and what not, so it's more like friends w/ benefits his best friend, which is now my best friend as well is a great person, and i know there can't be anything...SO HOW DO I NOT FEEL THIS WAY, cuz i don't want to, but i think the feelings are mutual.... what do i do?????

Why would his best friend want you while you are still sleeping with his best friend and you rex boyfriend. Thats asking for touble. Then you have to find out how his friend feels about you. Does he feel the same have you guys kissed. Is it weird to anyone that you guys have been hanging out alot? Figure those to things out first. And remember it can be very very sticky. I am dating my ex's best friend. Its been about 3 months now. We were friends for 2 years first and then about 6 months after his best friend and I ended our retarded relationship that never got us anywhere but head aches. One night I was out hanging out with them all as friends. And I spent the whole time with him talking and stuff. Holding hands. Then about a week later he let me know he was very interested in me. He then proceeded t ask his friend if it would be ok if we dated. And his friend was probably caught off guard but not to much. But his friend said yes. We have been dating and things are good so far. But there has been times when the ex calls alot or says things to me that aren't true. Its jealousy and I don't blame him for one minute. Its not cool the situation because if it was revered I know it would be very very hard for me. But now that ex has a girl and is happy so it works out. You have to think about this clearly and do it right or its doomed to fail. Its a very touchy subject and situation you must proceed with caustion. Thats my advice hope it helps.
