Get him deodorant not antiperspirant. If he is from a "naturalist" family, maybe Tom's or one of those crystal alternatives.

And I think shaving is a bit much, but trimming the hair could help.

Honestly, if he gets that ripe, I am sure people around him all the time notice. It's a social issue. One should not stink up the environment :p

A daily use of deodorant, hell every other day use would do wonders. It's bacteria that causes smell, and deodorant knocks that bacteria down. Guys that NEVER use deodorant are a lot more likely to reek than guys who use it occasionally.

if you cant even tolerate his 'smell' why are you planning to move with him?

clearly you two are not compatible to begin with

find somebody who smells the way you like

It was me that said to get rid of his under arm hair.

It really does smell bad under the arms when you have hair there..

Get rid of the hair, and amazingly, the smell goes.

He still will sweat, but with no hair there, for some reason, it doesn't smell.

For myself, I always make sure there's nothing there, and after my workouts in the gym, there's no smell..

It works..

Use the hair trimmer side of an electric shaver.

As Recentchanges said, it does get itchy if you shave it..

But, man, just do it to him as punishment for what you put up with..

Come on hammy, bit of an over-reaction don't you think?

Tamari has already said she likes his natural scent when he's freshly showered, but I think almost anyone would be put off with an overpowering sweat smell, however much they love their partner.

It's an easy fix to be dealt with with tact, humour and a little bit of 'education', just as Tamari appears to be doing! No need to roll out the "you are not compatible" comments!

Good luck Tamari - I'm sure you'll be fine!
