girlinNYC Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Just a quick one, Are there any meanings surrounding when a guy looks away when you catch him looking, but continues to look when he thinks you haven't noticed he's looking?
basil67 Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 On top of possibly finding you interesting, it could also be: Your ears are a funny shape You look like someone he knows You have some food on your face Your clothes are unusual He's a creep There could be a million reasons why a guy could do this. Don't waste your time trying to read body language. Judge him by his actions: if he's keen, he will talk with you. 3

The other day I was waiting in line at the deli...This woman a few ahead was wearing a pair of flip flops...Its summer here, so understandable.. Anyway, her feet were absolutely enormous...Like snowshoes.....I found myself staring in amazement, several times, betting she could easily barefoot water ski... TFY
SammySammy Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 He could be interested in you but lack the confidence to ask you out. He could NOT be interested in you, but there is something interesting about you and he doesn't think it's polite to stare. He could just be teasing you to amuse himself. This one is unlikely for most guys, but I've used eye contact (or the lack thereof) to play with some women. It may lead to something. It may not.

Care to elaborate on the 'not be interested but there is something interesting about you' point? Wouldn't an interesting feature make someone 'interested?' He has called me beautiful, to my face, numerous times. So it's all sightly confusing.
FastHands Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I never looked at it this way. If I looked at a girl it was because she wAs attractive. Advices to the girl-keep doing what your doing. Some guys think they have no chance with an attractive girl or she is already taken. Maybe you can say hi! Maybe he'll start talking to you and things can start... Some girls are just as bad as some guys... they are clueless.

They can acknowledge a woman is beautiful but may think she's out of their league and not be willing to even try because of that. He could think you're high maintenance, there's too much competition for you, it's not the right time in his life, ... or many other reasons. Interesting doesn't always mean interested though. You could always ask him. That might provide some insight and clarity.
