angel.eyes Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Such a no brainer! I would go to my grandma's family dinner to celebrate her birthday and enjoy every minute focusing on that. Very few people make it to 88. You're close to her, so your absence would be noticeable. She'll be very hurt if you aren't there. Grandparents have such a soft spot for their grandkids. More importantly, this could be the last time you see her. On the other side, your BF's mother won't cry into her soup over you not coming. In fact, she'll be thrilled to get the time with her son to herself. Not to mention, how pointless picking her over your grandmother would be when you and your boyfriend break up down the road. 2
Author ptrl0362 Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 Thanks everyone! You all confirmed that I will be doing the right thing tomorrow! My boyfriend, although initially quite upset, is super understanding now and actually apologized to me for his reaction. He actually managed to resell my ticket to a grandmother who wanted to surprise her granddaughter! It all worked out so well Thanks again. Much love. 7
