miku147 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 My now ex recently broke up with me and cut off all ties with me to pursue a new relationship a day after he said he loved me. I have no appetite and I feel very nauseous. Is this normal?
grays Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yup. I threw up quite a lot while going through the same thing.
lonelyplanetmoon Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yes, you get psychologically addicted to the relationship and so there is a kind of withdrawal stage. I just went through it myself. It really sucks but you will get through it. Just keep posting. It does help. I don't know what I would have done without LS!
ExpatInItaly Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yes, it's normal. You're under emotional distress, which often triggers a physical reaction. It will subside, in time. For now, try drinking meal replacement drinks so that you can at least get in some nutrients and calories if you can't stomach solid food without feeling ill. I'm so sorry for your pain. 1
basil67 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Completely normal response to emotional distress. It's normal for your bowels to get a bit explosive too. (sorry if TMI)
BryanSmiley Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yes, your body creates chemicals in response to stress, and these can really upset your stomach, appetite, and overall feeling.

I have no appetite and I feel very nauseous. Is this normal? Sure, sometimes people will make themselves ill by not taking care of themselves after a breakup. You are nauseated because you aren't eating . . Get a grip. He doesn't deserve to have this much power over you!
